Out of the Box

Segamat Inland Port ("SIP”) is in boxes business.
Naturally, it makes us think outside the box!

The first box or shipping container was invented in 1956 by Malcolm Mc Lean. Since then, the 20’ and 40’ boxes have certainly changed the world and the lives of every human being on the planet.

Being a total logistics service provider, SIP extends its container storage depot facilities in Segamat and Pasir Gudang. Both of the container depots have a combined storage capacity of up to 10,000 TEUs. The container depots provide storage for dry boxes, ISO tanks and reefers. The strategic location of SIP in Northern Johor helps ship liners and NVOCC to penetrate the hinterland markets in Muar, Batu Pahat, Labis, Gemas, Tangkak, Kluang where boxes can be easily transited to Port Klang, Kuantan Port, Malacca Port, Johor Port and PTP via the transshipment hub facilities offered by SIP.

Equipped with container stackers and forklifts, the container depots also offer box repair, maintenance (M&R) and washing services. The parameters of the container depots are secured by 24 hours security.
